When building the master virtual desktop, you will probably boot from an ISO.
The master virtual desktop should be configured with a VMXNET 3 network adapter. Make sure the virtual desktop is using a SCSI controller. For New Hard disk, consider setting Thin provision. See System Requirements for Real-Time Audio-Video at VMware Docs. When using Microsoft Teams with Real-Time Audio-Video (RTAV), VMware recommends that the virtual desktop have a minimum of 4vCPU and 4 GB RAM. 
The virtual desktop pools will use the same hardware specs (e.g., vCPUs, memory size, network label) specified on the master virtual desktop.
